Gas price spikes are definitely suspicious

recorderonline -- Motorists have had plenty of reason to be a little hot under the collar the past two weeks. If it wasn’t the triple-digit temperatures, it was the huge spike in gas prices seen since a refinery fire near San Francisco occurred on Aug. 6.

Almost immediately, in some cases within minutes of the fire being reported, prices began to go up at gas stations throughout the state. Locally, the price has shot up at least on average 35 cents a gallon, or about 9 percent. It does appear the price has leveled off at right about $4 a gallon, give or take 20 cents depending on the station. At some of the brand-name stations, the lowest price is closer to $4.30 a gallon.

They will find everything is legal - since they wrote the laws and regulations to benefit their contributors (owners) which are the oil companies and the Sierra Club at the same time.

There is absolutely no reason for a threat or a small fire to have an immediate impact on the price of gas or oil. If the threat becomes reality, then there is an excuse. If all the refineries are burned then there is an excuse, but until those things happen, no way.
