Industry Week.... -- The race to treat water used in shale-gas drilling could create a $9 billion industry.

The need to treat wastewater from the hydraulic-fracturing process used in shale-gas drilling will contribute to nine-fold growth for the U.S. water-treatment industry by 2020, Lux Research said in a report Tuesday.

Present a problem, and engineers in the private sector will find a way to solve it. It's called ingenuity and incentive; two things the government doesn't possess.

If you enjoy utopia over prosperity, just say so. I also can't imagine why they would hook your house up to the waste water treatment plant, since once you make your tap water impure, it should be designated so for eternity, no?

What a concept: polluting drinking water with from hydraulic-fracturing will create a need for water treatment. Sort of like shooting yourself in the foot will help create a market for medical practices.

Anyone actually buying this sh*t?

Another great advancement in the already safe practice of hydraulic fracturing. Private enterprise finding ways to get things done!
