Energy Forecast 2013-2014: Convert to Natural Gas

Forbes -- The energy outlook for the next two years is surprisingly diverse. Oil and its liquid derivatives will remain fairly high priced, but natural gas will continue to cheapen, increasing the spread between the two fuels to unprecedented levels.

Global oil supply has increased modestly. Gains have been driven by new technology (fracking and horizontal drilling) and high prices. These positives have outweighed by the negatives of mature oil fields and political control of much of the world’s oil-bearing territories.

The increased global oil production is spread across the entire world, as the oil market is global. Prices have remained high because the increase in production is still fairly modest, roughly in line with demand gains.

Wish I could! NG is too far away from my house (almost 1/2 mile) to make this work.

natural gas is too valuable a resource to waste as industrial boiler fuel or transportation.

I would love to build a new house right now. If I did, I would make sure there is a natural gas line in the garage, and also a 220v outlet for probably my next vehicle purchase.

The more we use NG for vehicles the less we use oil.

Sounds like Forbes made this report too early, Gasoline is falling like a skydiver without a parachute and Natural gas still needs a system to support it.

This surprised me, as it seems that gasoline prices are falling fast, while natural gas is rising from its recent very low price.
