Analysts: 2012 Will be The Most Expensive Year Ever for Gas

The Blaze -- Due to the growing cost of crude oil and multiple refinery mishaps, 2012 is on track to be the costliest year ever for gasoline.

“Nationally, gasoline averages $3.70 a gallon — up 30 cents since mid-July and is now higher than year-ago levels in 39 states. Prices are likely to continue climbing through August, with little relief until after Labor Day,” USA Today reports.

Gas jumped 9 percent this month, pushing the national average to $3.67 a gallon, thereby beating 2011’s $3.51 a gallon record. And it doesn’t look like it’s going to let up. In fact, even after demand dies down with the end of summer, 2012 will still most likely be the most expensive year on record, according to Brian Milne of energy tracker Telvent DTN.

Doug: this is also not the economy of your parents or grandparents. When either were starting to vote, China was a third world country with practically no external economic power.

I know Obama and his policies and ideas dont represent my parents and grandparents Democrat Party! I look around and see the suffering and heartaches of people I know, and strangers alike. High numbers out of work, high numbers of under-employed, so many that have given up. $4 gasoline is hurting so many people, and many of his policies are directly the cause. It's just a shame. Four and a half more years of this will be a nightmare at best.

Reading the headline, I thought this article was from February or March. Of course, that did not pan out. So now the industry is faking all these accidents to try to drive the price up.

Because, as everybody knows, the only thing a greedy oil executive wants is higher gas prices. If he can't get there by hook, he'll get there by crook. Actually I think I have that out of order, crook has got to be first choice every time. Crook. Crook. Crook!

so they are saying it will exceed the 2008 top of $ 147 a barrel and the top pump price of $ 5.00 + a gallon ? they are all nuts if they believe the market will not fix it long before we reach such levels again.

Bozama said he wanted "Europe prices" - seven bucks a gallon, I think.

If you still need a reason to defeat Obama then consider his administration’s intense effort to deprive America of the energy it needs to function and compete in the world.
If a foreign nation had launched an attack on America to destroy its coal-fired plants, to shut down its coal mines, and to thwart its ability to drill for oil and natural gas, we would be at war with it.
Obama is at war with America.

81 days until the election.
