I was only stopping there to use a Speedpass promotional discount, but the Speedpass mechanisms on the pumps were broken.

I don't think I have a recollection of having ever pulled into a station and then changing my mind.

I do not pull into a station unless the prices are posted! Also I never fill my tank when I know that a tanker has just been in! I have been told that the gas in the station is stirred up and particles from the bottom float up!

There was no 'FULL SERVE' offered, so I didn't fill up.
I like to have an attendant do it, and some/many stations only offer self-serve.

The station posted cash price as if it were credit on the street sign. Pump rice was more, you had to go inside for the cash discount. I left rather than feed that dishonesty.

I don't even stop if they do not post their prices, so price is not a reason not to go. (I have pulled out of a Sam's Club pump before because of price, they do post the price at the front of the store, nowhere visible at the pump nor from the road.)
I pulled into a 7-11, all pumps were full and one had just been vacated, as I pulled around to get to it another driver pulled in, not knowing I was waiting for it, so I just left.

@Collin1000: "I am interested in knowing why people would drive away if fuel was being delivered? Does that mean something?"

Yes, there's a belief that filling the underground tanks stirs up sediment that will get into your car's fuel system.

The actual problem was solved some time ago with the addition of filtration systems, but the belief persists.

I see the price on the sign and since I typically go to the same few stations on my drive every week, I know everything.... but sometimes at an ARCO in DTLA the lines can be SO LONG so I just pass on it. I am interested in knowing why people would drive away if fuel was being delivered? Does that mean something?

The reason I didn't get gas was. I really needed a car wash and there machine at valero was broke. They were waiting for a part to be delivered. So, I went some where else.

Price difference by using cash instead of credit.
Happened in Michigan last week.
Mostly same price for both cash/credit around here.

My car requires premium, so usually when I change my mind it's because the only price shown on the sign is for regular, then at the pump the different grades are like 15 cents apart instead of the standard 10. No thanks. I'll get fleeced elsewhere.

This happened in the winter, I drove into a gas station, and went to fill my truck up with Diesel, the pump was slowly pumping out the fuel, it took about 3 min. to put 1 gallon into the truck, I gave up and went to another gas station.

Happened a couple weeks ago. I usually fill up at Speedways, as they are usually the cheapest, but they are also the first to raise their prices in the area. When I pulled in, I realized that the Admiral across the street was 12 cents cheaper. I got right back in and crossed the street.

I don't like buying gas when the gas truck is dumping gas into the tanks because you don't know what may be stirred up from the bottom of the tanks. I also don't think that the filters on the stations fuel pumps get changed on a regular bases either.
