A lot more than last year
A little more than last year
About the same as last year
Less than last year
Much less than last year

It would have been tough to do less driving than I did on Labor Day weekend last year, but I believe I pulled it off. 22 miles round trip for my Saturday shift, then not another inch the rest of the weekend.

Much of my driving, even during a long weekend like Labor Day,is to and from clients. Business is down from last year, so less driving.

We went to the same place this year as last year. While we were there the weather was terrible so we didn't travel as much. So I should have put lass than last year....oops

This poll had two possible answers for me:

None, because I did not go anywhere and/or

About the same as last year, because I didn't go anywhere last year either.

I wonder if other people also had the same issue.

A little more than last year. We drove until the steering wheel fell off. I duct taped it back on to get home.

I am in Real Estate and generally holidays are busy but not this year so the car remained in the garage all weekend. When oil prices increase gas prices follow very quickly (here in Kalamazoo) but when there is a decline in oil prices there always seems to be an excuse why gas remains the same and sometimes goes higher. Holidays are always a good reason to keep them high. I understand supply and demand but I believe that excuse is even over used and not justified at times.

With the weather here in Texas, the water bills, electric bills and the gas bills that just about uses all of our cash especially if you are a senior citizen and on a fixed income. It is very difficult to manage the economy. I so pray that something changes quickly for everyone.

Now that I have had my license (enhanced driver's license) for almost 6 months, I was able to drive all the way back from the Mackinac Bridge walk this year. I have never run into so much traffic as I did down US-127 from Clare to Lansing, MI yesterday.

Traveled to Sacramento and then to Reno/Fernley, NV. I have a rental house in Fernley and wanted to check up on it. Yeah, it's still there. A long drive but gas prices were not too bad. Well, in the $3.69 range in Nevada, $3.85 in California.

We avoid long weekend travelling!!!!!! Risks are much higher then! We travel whenever we can when the general public isn't travelling.

I drove much less this year on Labor Day weekend. I am a petsitter. When other people go on vacation, I work. Last year I had 4 clients who went away on Labor Day weekend, so I was busy all weekend. This year I had only one! And that is not good! This economy is not fun for anyone!

I can't recall what I did for Labor Day last year, but I'm sure it was nothing very eventful. This year we went shopping nearby just to get out of the house.

Just went shopping and ran errands. CT is still kinda tore up after the Hurricane 9 days ago, and not much money to spend on unnecessary things.
