Go figure ?

People are not interested in getting the lowest price even though all gas is the same (except a few additives to keep fuel injectors clean - That can be bought at a auto store for much cheaper). Brand loyalty, a function of the free market system is alive and well.

Using the Platinum Exxon-Mobil MasterCard gives me a 15 cent/gallon break at the pump. It does add up.

My one exception: where I work and live the prices are relatively high, so if I need gas when going home from work I will go out of my way a bit.

No sense in spending $4 in fuel to save $0.03 a gallon.

Which is to say, there is NO competition in Toronto anymore. The price is set somewhere, and they all price to that.
