The USAF has been using Nitrogen in Aircraft tires for many years. Nitrogen runs cooler in tires keeping tire temperature down, resulting in longer tire life and less heat related failures.

Since regular compressed air is 78% nitrogen, I'm not really sure how much of a benefit using a higher content of nitrogen would really give you.

I use a special 80% Nitrogen mix. I find it a very cost effective solution.

Just got new tires. They filled them with nitrogen. Don't know what the advantage is.
