What's wrong with just a walk around. That's right, some people only know how to start a car and aim it down the road.

Ya because paying attention to your tires even a little bit is so complicated & all the specialized tools & skills that are required in the process.

That's great. I'm sure there are a lot of accidents caused by poorly inflated tires. I know I don't check mine often enough!

Easy-Fill Tire Alert System? One more thing that can go wrong as vehicles get more complicated and more accessories on placed on them. Keep the tires properly inflated so nothing can go wrong with the vehicle handling while driving and the tires wear evenly. Check with a tire pressure gauge for proper tire inflation on a regular basis. My car is way too old to have these things. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible! The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

A clever idea I guess. I keep a tire gauge in all my vehicles, and don't find it "hard to read" (really?), but since the tech is already there in the form of tire pressure sensors, might as well make it easier for people to maintain pressures - I certainly see a lot of people driving around on visibly low tires - and most tires have to be down to 15 pounds or less for it to show visibly - in other words, probably down at least 15lbs from what it should be.

Good point there Jeepergeo. I wonder if it has an override feature. One might want to increase the air. Lots of manufactors have lower pressure so the car will ride good!

I keep reading posts about how much this will add to the cost of a car. Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) have been standard equipment on EVERY car (by law) since 2008. This feature is simply a programming option that Nissan built into the TPMS control module. As an auto technician I think it is a good use of equipment already install in the car. PS: Jeepergeo, The TPMS sensors are accurate to 1/10 of a pound.

Yeah, right, it will give you the "exact" reading. That's about as accurate as saying government employees work hard.

That is a better feature than Chevy which you have to take it into the dealer to get it reset.

I don't need the flashers on to tell me I'm putting air in the tires, thanks anyway.
Is it smart enough to adjust for the fact that the tires may not be 'cold'? That could be useful. Drive a long way, check your tires when you get gas and instead of the door "cold tire pressure" number, it calculates what pressure the tire SHOULD have given the ambient temp/tire temp delta.
