Don't start with the insults.

Not all merchants pass on the credit card fees to the customer. Most are actually honorable.

Cash is NEVER a discount. Not everyone has access to a credit card. It is NOT the same as charging more for using a credit card.

Ignoring the moderators can bring on disastrous results.

Ignore the guideline, it is misguided. Most people pay with credit. That is what should be posted, doing otherwise would reflect an artificial drop in average gas prices.

Have you considered that posting credit prices only artificially raises average gas prices? You don't receive a discount for using cash; you are charged MORE for using a credit card. That is in direct violation of the merchant's agreement with the credit card companies.
