Regarding post on Singapore. The reason why we are paying higher taxes, food and clothing costs, is because we have unemployed not producing food and clothing and the higher taxes are needed to support them.

We don't have excess oil. we IMPORT 8+ million barrels a day. What is being exported is FINISHED products (Gasoline and diesel, etc...)
