Hope you're doing OK. Haven't seen you around in awhile.

http://www.chevrolet.com/pages/open/default/future/volt.do "What happens if I travel more than 40 miles? Once the initial electric charge is depleted, the range-extending gas engine will kick in to seamlessly generate enough energy to continue to power the car for hundreds of additional miles." Now if they could just get the initial cost down...

Given all your foreign-brand bashing, I can only assume you'll be happy if Toyota shuts down their Saint Louis plant.

The technology exists to improve fuel eficiency across the board by 5 to 10% easily and by as much as 20% and more! No reason why we don't have vehicles on the road that get 50, 70, 100 mpg and more!

You're right! We need vehicles that get better mileage and use other sources of fuel. I know people with less than a high school education that can get better mileage than them, I did it when I was a kid, 10 to 20% and more, and can do much more now!

Write Congress and the automakers and tell them you want vehicles capable of 50 to 100 mpg now! We should all get together and buy GM, Ford or Chrysler or all of them and change things now! The hell with the government bailouts using our money for them!
