Hello, No I didn't mind that you forwarded the message from "forty-niner"

by ItisAJeepThing  Aug 16, 2012

OH, I hope that you didn't mind me copying the message from 49er and pasting it on your whiteboard. He sounded almost desperate to get through for some reason. Your buddy, Warren :o)

You make some very good points! I, like most others, have been spoiled by being able to buy very cheap fuel for all of my life. Compared to Europe and Canada we haven't had to pay high taxes for instance. Yes, the oil companies deserve to make a profit, I am sure that I own stock in many of them. Exports help balance our trade deficit, but these high fuel prices are slowing our recovery from the great recession. Sometimes I get a bit carried away. I know that banning exports won't happen in a democratic, capitalistic and a free country.

Sorry for the misspelled words,. I was typing to fast.

Sorry, I can not agree with your position of requiring Americans and American Companies to keep the products they produce in America. This is a free country and if you have a service that you can sell outside of of America, you have that right and so do the Companies that have invested millions of dollars in research and development. Furthermore if we do allow that to drill and manufacture, they will have an abundance of product and when they sell their products overseas it helps this countries balance of trade deficit and helps keep the value of the dollar up. Both of these will benefit the consumer. All consumers low, middle and higher inc0pmce consumers.

I really liked your post about the natural gas and oil boom in the U.S. My ideas: The U.S. is the world's third largest oil producer of oil and the world's largest producer of natural gas. We need a federal law that requires that North American oil, North American refined fuels and North American natural gas all stay in North America. Also, we need to pressure everyone to make abundant, cheap and clean American natural gas, in the form of CNG, our primary alternative to oil based fuels! North America could easily and quickly become energy independent. It is better than trying to switch to electric vehicles.
