WOW!! 1400 consecutive days. ! Keep up the great work.

by lgppa  Aug 22, 2012

A BIG CONGRATS on 1,200 consecutive days! Really awesome! Wow, another 100 days have passed again, already! : ) For some it seems pretty easy to come back each day! But for most GBs they don't seem to have the dedication or the persistence it takes to come back and post gas prices each day for other GBs! Or they just run out of gas! :( Hang onto your speed lines, it only takes one day to lose them! I'm sure you know! But even clicking on news articles links, which are the easiest points here on GasBuddy, when you can't or didn't post gas prices before midnight will save your consecutive days! : ) WARNING! Every day GBs lose their consecutive days for many reasons, many with big numbers, the #1 reason, "oops, I just forgot!" :( If you ever lose your consecutive days; that is NO FAULT of your own, please contact the mods! Keep posting each day to save your consecutive days! Keep going like a PRO Detroit GasBuddy! Have a nice week! Thanks!

On Friday 7/13/12, ImCheapinNJ reported on CobraLeader's Whiteboard, that CobraLeader passed away on 11 Dec 2010! I know it's been a long time since anyone has heard from CobraLeader, many GBs have been wondering what had happened to CobraLeader! :( I heard CL had more than 5,000 buddies on his buddy list and many more GBs knew of his presence here in GasBuddyland! We'll miss our buddy CobraLeader, but he'll always have GasBuddies that will remember him for being here! May CL R.I.P. : )

I won't be reporting "cash discount" prices. Its just not important. It would be nice if more people reported desiel prices though I don't have a desiel im sure those that do would really find this program much more helpful. Ps please refrain from posting to my white board.

You're mistaken.

Well, what do you know! "This writer spent 5 minutes researching this.... How about leave your tailgate up, you get better mileage. People think it is dragging in the wind, but it is drafting behind the cab and actual has better air flow than when down, and when down you are hurting the rear structure as the gate stiffens the rear of the bed. A truck cover is better yet." That's partially true GearGuy, but every truck and model is different. I know that personally as my 1987 Dodge Dakota got better mileage with the gate down by almost 10%. A bed cover does better still as you said. No reason trucks can't get 25 to 50 mpg and more if they do various modifications as I know or know of others who've done quite a few things and are getting anywhere from 30 to 55 mpg out of them.
