Brent closed down $2.53 per barrel to $118.68 and that narrowed the gap between the two to $15.31 per barrel, the narrowest differential since Feb. 28, according to Bloomberg.

Early in the day Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate both declined following the announcement that 10 hours of "constructive" negotiations in Istanbul between Iran's delegation and the U.N. A positive indicator but only one of many. The oil speculators still reign and the big banks are still using bail out money to play the market instead of making loans with it. We need the return of the Glass-Steagal act and another to limit oil market speculation.

...however the oil companies ARE NOT passing on any savings they get on crude to your local dealer therefore big oil can increase their profit margins and pay their CEO's millions of dollars in cash and stock options annually.

Crude increases, gas stays almost the same. Go Figure! Obozzo's game plan. He should be blowing up balloons with all the hot air he throws around!!!

Could be good news if it drops the price at the pumps. If the oil storage facility at Cushing is a problem, talk about putting all your eggs/oil in one basket this just might be it.

Can we update the top news stories on a daily basis please? Thank you.

Anyway, it's easy to agree to meet if all they're going to do is shake hands and ape for the camera. When the rubber meets the road, are they going to agree to anything? I'm not so sure. They're just buying time to advance their nuclear program.
