The fallout from this: people are ignoring DIESEL prices. And the FOOD prices have SOARED. This is not just about driving less. It's about people not being able to afford food if this continues. Never mind LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES.
Of course, then there's the SHRIMP and COCKTAILS crowd. They don't care. They want high prices. They are rippin' you OFF.

It is getting ridiculously unaffordable. Don't know why they can't get gas prices under control.

"Predictions" such as this are nothing more than carefully aimed propaganda to prime the public for another gouging! And FOX is their friendly, well-trained messenger!! -- Knowing full well the Speculators will take their cue from this -- And, yup! -- The price bidding goes up!!!
Again, I agree with milespergallon on this, 100%.

The USA will continue to suffer while BO is in office. Vote him out while there's still a chance to save the USA.

These predictions seem to be setting the stage for increased fuel prices. I'm beginning to think they are not good. Increased prices will hurt our economy. Not good.

Why do they publish these predictions? All it does is obligate the oil companies to make it happen.

I think Europe is paying about $10 for a US gallon these days.
We should be ready for that in time.

All of you who are trying to pin this on Obama, can you explain why oil went up to $147 a barrel in the summer of 2008 when Bush was in office? I'm not saying that I support Obama's policies but I don't think he should be blamed every time the price of gas rises. Maybe if we stop believing predictions like this that are most likely made by fools who are just looking a line their pockets with our money, stop making statements about the next great depression coming, then things might improve. Its a long shot, but its better to believe that then having to read a bunch of gloom and doom posts.

People will stop driving, or at least much less. We'll start seeing fewer gas guzzling vehicles drive in a gas guzzling manner. Guess I better dust off that bike and round up the bus tokens.

Under Obama we have had the highest sustained unemployment. Under Obama we have had a $1+ trillion deficit each year. Obama railed at Bush fro increasing the federal deficit by around $4 trillion in 8 years; he is on pace to do at least that much in four years.
