The Biblical teaching of the Holy Spirit in the other thread is right on. It's so simple to take Scripture at face value on this topic, too.
Note:the KJV also says WORSHIP, in the quotes below.
Again I'll start the thread.
Quotes from NIV unless stated otherwise
At the birth of Christ--
Matthew 2:1-2
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east[b] and have come to WORSHIP him."
2:10
...they (Magi)bowed down and WORSHIPED him.

Hebrews 1: 5 to 9 (NIV)

For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today I have become your Father[a]"[b]? Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son"[c]? 6And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him."[d] 7In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire."[e] 8But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."

Jesus commanded the devil and he listened:
Matthew 4:10-11
10Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'[d]"
11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
12:8
For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
14:33
Then those who were in the boat WORSHIPED him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

His authority is unsurpassed! No creature either mortal or immortal ever spoke like Him. the "I tell you..." proofs
Matt. 5:22
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother[b]will be subject to judgment.
Matt. 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Matt. 5:31
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
Matt. 5:34
But I tell you, Do not swear at all...
Matt. 5:39
But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person...
Matt. 5:44
But I tell you: Love your enemies

I Timothy 3:16.

And without controversy Great is the Mystery [Hidden Truth] of Godliness: God was Manifest in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen of angels, Preached unto the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received Up into Glory.

[I Timothy 2:2; Acts 3:12]

~
Acts 4:12; Isaiah 43:13
.

(KJV)
