The anti-Christ is dead! 666 was Emperor Nero! Stop worrying! Those prophesies are how old? If you make a prophesy, it will EVENTUALLY be realized... and in the case of the end-times and the anti-Christ, it will be realized over and over again.

Well it seems we survived the day. Satan did not destroy the world, some much for that.

I don't believe it, but I thought I would gage others reactions and maybe get a few laughs which I did, thanks to the article in this thread. I am not a religious person, therefore the day meant nothing, other than I got to hear Iron Maiden on the radio.
And yes there are plenty of morons in the world who believe this stuff, this just didn't admit it in this forum.

Thanks for posting today too, Lucifer!! BTW, Lucifer is a Pagan God of light and knowledge (luc/luz - for all you linguists/latin students). Lucifer had nothing to do with the devil or evil or satan until Judaism and Christianity made up those concepts and words. So, Lucifer is a very respected and powerful name - if you can ignore the years of misinformation and lies about who Lucifer is/was.
The real point of my post today is to point out the obvious, for thinkers and not blind followers. The number 6 is a construct of man. The gregorian calendar we use in the US and in some religions of the world, was created by man and started counting years at a time when their religion decided it was important to. There are many other calendars and different ways of keeping time that are still in use today. If you are afraid of a number than you have not used your logic. If you blindly follow a religion without using your logic, well, try to have a good day.
If you are afraid of today, and you don't have a good day today or something happens to you I think it is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Constantly being afraid and worried or expecting something bad to happen- you will bring that energy into your life and something bad will happen or you will perceive your day was bad.
The moral of the story- like diamond Mike says, "Relax & enjoy life!" Spread love, not fear.

Why are some people so literal? Relax and enjoy life. You may look at things differently, but there are too many people scared of their own shadows. They can be laughed at for stupidity. Feel free to call me Lucifer.

Well, it appears some people are afraid of it. If you believe what you read in the paper. If not, I still got a good laugh out of it.

CH - Wow. I would say the odds would be pretty long. Yes I knew they tracked number of consecutive days posting.
I guess the media has figured out that no one cares about 6-6-6. They were the ones who prompted my question. That and a local religious group who were posting flyers at work decrying the day.

Who ever thinks of days to be afraid needs to get a life. The date will be 6/6/06. Looks like you take away the 0 to make something out of nothing.

I often enjoy your humor. I thought I'd tell you that before I talk about 666 and the number of the Beast.
Six. This number at times represents imperfection. The number of “the wild beast” is 666 and is called “a man’s number,” indicating that it has to do with imperfect, fallen man, and it seems to symbolize the imperfection of that which is represented by “the wild beast.” The number six being emphasized to a third degree (the six appearing in the position of units, tens, and hundreds) therefore highlights the imperfection and deficiency of that which the beast represents, or pictures.—Revelation 13:18.
On the other hand let's compare Six with Seven-to highlight the nature of the imperfection of Six. Seven is used frequently in the Scriptures to signify completeness. At times it has reference to bringing a work toward completion. Or it can refer to the complete cycle of things as established or allowed by God. By completing his work toward the earth in six creative days and resting on the seventh day, Jehovah set the pattern for the whole Sabbath arrangement, from the seven-day week to the Jubilee year that followed the seven-times-seven–year cycle. (Exodus 20:10; Leviticus 25:2, 6, 8) The Festival of Unleavened Bread and the Festival of Booths were each seven days long. (Exodus 34:18; Leviticus 23:34) Seven appears often in connection with the Levitical rules for offerings (Leviticus 4:6; 16:14, 19; Numbers 28:11) and for cleansings.—Leviticus 14:7, 8, 16, 27, 51; 2Kings 5:10.
The “seven congregations” of Revelation, with their characteristics, give a complete picture of all the congregations of God on earth. —Revelations 1:20–3:22.
The “seven heads” of the “wild beast” (Revelations 13:1) show the limit to which the beast would be allowed to develop. Although the “scarlet-colored wild beast” is called “an eighth” king, it springs from the seven and does not exist apart from the seven-headed wild beast (Revelations 17:3, 9-11), as is true also of the “image” of “the wild beast.” (Revelations 13:14) Similarly, the two-horned “wild beast” is actually coexistent with the original “wild beast” whose “mark” it tries to put on all persons.—Revelations 13:11, 16, 17.
To be continued :-)

What's to be afraid of? Revelation says that "666" is a number that stands for a certain MAN -- not a date (or area code, or credit card number, or address, etc..).
