Well I have to disagree with you TimothyU. It is very true that the Nephilim roam this earth because in death there was no place for them due to the sin of thier fathers the angels who seduced the women and fathered them prior to the flood. They influence this world and are led by the fallen angels Satan and his crew.
They influence by murmurring voices and how you know them they go against the Word of Jahwah Elohim, either slightly or completely. Have a great day everyone and be blessed.

So true. One would think this also applies to the faiths that depend on evil as an adversary to give themselves identity and find it hard to exist without pointing out all the evil as an enemy, focusing on that rather than love and the Kingdom of God.

Those of you who are familiar with Jewish tradition would know that it was a common practice and belief before and during Jesus' time for people to go around casting out "unclean spirits". Unclean spirits were those of the dead who would co-habit another persons body giving them their bad or good characteristics or learning. Those with a helpful spirit were not cleansed as a rule as it was seen as an asset. But the bottom line is that these spirits of the dead inhabited host bodies and when cast out went into something or someone else or later returned to their host.
However there is also proof that not a ghost but an energy not unlike a memory imprinted in our minds, can exist. This is not what one would call a wandering soul however.

I believe this movie really can shed some light on evil, foul and misleading spirits. It is really worth watching.

One other thing that is interesting is... some newbie comes along who gives the cultists another place to post about spirits,satan, giants, ghosts, demons, neph??? and then they have more places to suck in unsuspecting Christians. Folks love to talk about spirts....yep.
I am with lkt...not enough time to give to the Lord, let alone evil spirits and cultists.

Has anyone noted how much cultists like to talk about demons, spirits, ghosts...things we who are filled with the Holy Spirit do not have to worry about coming into us. But these folks are smart enough to know that this is one rabbit trail that leads curious folks right down to being lost forever. Why not study the things of God and not have so many discussions on spirits...unless one wants to talk about the Holy Spirit.
Interesting to me how much they love to talk about demons, spirits, ghosts and how little they want to talk about, is Jesus God? and why is it important that Jesus was God?

I can only think of one passage that possibly supports the idea of human spirits as ghosts:
1 Samuel 28:7-14 Then said Saul to his servants, Seek me a woman who has a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. His servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman who has a familiar spirit at Endor.
Saul disguised himself, and put on other clothing, and went, he and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, Please divine to me by the familiar spirit, and bring me up whoever I shall name to you.
The woman said to him, Behold, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
Saul swore to her by Yahweh, saying, As Yahweh lives, there shall no punishment happen to you for this thing.
Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up to you? He said, Bring me up Samuel.
When the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice; and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, Why have you deceived me? for you are Saul.
The king said to her, Don't be afraid: for what do you see? The woman said to Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.

And I agree with Tri- They are demonic.
The movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" is a true story of a woman possessed by many demonic spirits and shows how she became vulnerable to them.

The nephilim spirit was bound to earth to roam as they were both human and the sons of Eloah. As a punishment to their fathers the Sons of Eloah called the Watchers

Spirits yes. Demons and angels are sprits. The spiritual world is far more real than this one. Of course as was already stated the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are spirits.
People's spirits on the other hand, highly unlikely. Most of what the Bible says refers to people's spirits being in heaven or hell. The rich man and poor man spirits refered to in the NT refers to the rich man asking God to send his or the poor man's spirit to warn his brothers about hell. (don't have a bible near by, at the library) So I guess its possible that God could give a person's spirit permission to do some task.
Personally I have all I can do to worship Jesus and allow Him to take over my life without spending much time on other spirits.
