Maybe the Soft Rock 70s band is done for.

Who knows for sure? I just wanted my own Toast Topic.

Despite jjewell's inaccurate prediction nearly 3 years ago, it *is* time the topic died, since:
#1) It was not about music. (Which is why it wasn't in the Music category, but Politics.)
#2) It was so long ago, no one remembers the intent.
#3) Most people *at* the time never got the intent either.

I liked HOTSKEL's post, "IT DON'T MATTER TO ME but IF i MAKE IT WITH YOU i would bet EVERYTHING I OWN that it is. so put that in your DIARY."

But honestly, as long as you have access to Bread's music and listen to it now and again, it won't be dead. It's always good... unless you don't want to be sad or sleepy.

"Is Bread toast?" Heh. Or did flour power just go a-rye?

Did Cream sour?

Was Foreigner deported?

Does Yes know?

Did War end?

Is Nirvana damned?

Did Dokken sail?

Did the Eagles land? (Did Wings?)

Did Clannad ...subtract?

But what I really wanna know is....

I went to an Irish wedding in a castle in Scotland...oh, my, the toasts...and by the end of the night everyone was toast. All the Scot waiters had on kilts, and the wedding party had on kilts, so the dancing was good...snicker.. You get the Orangemen and the Scots together and you got yourself some mean toasts.

Yeah... I had seen the 37 "Is ________ Toast?" topics in the Politics category, and decided I wanted my own in there.

Now that it has been moved, it is just NOT funny any more; and I want it closed.

>Out here on the "left coast" they don't know from REAL bagels.
>nothing more than "bread in a circle"

I have no idea what this would be.

I *do* know that outside of NY (being that I am close to the city of Buffalo) that states like TN and MI and VA have no idea what real Buffalo Wings are. I can not even imagine what CA calls Buffalo Wings.

And White Hots (white hot dogs) are pretty much non-existent elsewhere.

And NYC has Pizza Parlors where you order ONE slice, and it's a meal. They are the size of a laptop!

- - -

P.S. - If THIS "toast" topic gets moved, the other ones should too!

AC-302, boil and bake. New York style. The gentleman who showed us how to make the bagels and was from New York. Anything else was an insult to the bagel.

Certainly all toast is bread (or some form thereof), but not all bread is toast.

Jayrad - at your bagel bakery, did you use the "boil 'em for a minute" technique, or did you use the "high pressure steam for 15 seconds" method?

Also, were your bagels true NY style (soft, yet dense with v. small holes in the dough) or were they more like the Western Bagel variety that are really nothing more than "bread in a circle"?

Out here on the "left coast" they don't know from REAL bagels. Real dense-style bagels are impossible to find much outside of the Northeast, and a few bagel bakeries in Chicago.

Speaking of bread, I owned and operated a small chain of bagel bakeries for 20 years here in L.A. Had fresh from the oven bagels almost every morning. Never got tired of them. Man, one sounds good now.

I use to have a pre-popup toaster -- with doors on the side that flipped down, you had to turn the bread around halfway through to toast the other side.

Pilgrim, never noticed, but it does.

I used to work in a bakery. I quit the job. Not making enough dough, so I decided to go on the loaf....................Paraphrasing one Jerome "Curly" Howard.

If they are cooked to a light golden brown and covered in strawberry jam, served with a three egg ham and cheese omelet and orange juice then I would say they are the kind of toast I have with breakfast on my day off.(when I have one that is)
