Replaced plugs on my 02 F150 4.6L after 125K, significant difference in town and on the highway. .054 gap was .070 on the old plugs.

Wife's Mariner averages 18-22 in the all around driving she does. Have gotten 25.6 on a trip - V6 with AWD.
My Mustang is pretty good on the highway - I averaged about 27 with it going to Florida last year. Around town, it stinks. I barely get 200 miles out of a tank. Have gotten as low as 12 mpg. - V6 automatic.

My 2002 mustang gt gets 17 in the city and 23 on the highway. I seem to average 21, which is about 70% highway and 30% city.

My F250 diesel get about 20 to 21 mpg on the interstate when keeping the speed around 60 mpr, and using the cruise control, I am pleased with this and can deal with the lower speeds for now, hopefully the fuel prices will get leveled at a reasonable price and stay there thru the summer at least.

2011 Ford Fiesta SES Automatic... Phoenix, AZ to Douglas, AZ 500mi. round trip weekly. Wife averages 42-43MPG (1 occupant) around 40MPG with 2 occupants. This is driving the speed limit. 10% over the limit... 5% worse MPG. Top speed (observed) 115MPH, but mileage drops fast at that speed. I haven't seen below 32 yet... No I'm not a Ford man.... but I "am" impressed (so far)

BEAR0900 asks: What i sthe best car or truck that gets VERY GOOD gas mileage driving it in town? ____ This is what the EPA fuel efficiency ratings are all about. While they won't tell you what mileage you will actually get, you can tell what vehicle will give you the best mileage. If the EPA rating for vehicle A is higher than that for vehicle B, you will get mileage if you buy vehicle A rather than B.
Compare cars/trucks for the best mileage

even with Friday's surprises, Ford is still a solidly profitable and much-admired company with strong prospects around the world.

Taking off slower and stopping at a longer dis. will help your gas MPG up date your air filter to a K&N and put in better spark plugs will make your car-truck run like new>

Well I refueled earlier than I first thought. (I took a trip to Burlington, Ontario about 150 miles round trip) So on the first tank of gas I drove 512 miles and the warning light was on because I was so close to "E". Averaging 36.1 miles on a 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid.

I have heard many good things about the Ford Taurus and may consider buying one. Does anyone know how many it seats comfortably for real, not what the dealer says.
