Jim Rice fell just 16 votes short with 392 (72.2%). Next year will be his final year on the ballot. Andre Dawson was third with 358 votes(65.9%). My Gossage rookie card just went up a quarter. Now if I can only find it. Maybe someone can explain it to me. If the BBWAA can vote for up to 10 players on their ballet. Why should lean years make a difference. It seems to me that they either deserve it, or they don't. Next year Rickey Henderson should IMHO be a first ballot shoo-in (did he really play 25 seasons?!) but there's probably no other new HOF material on the ballot.
