Anyone here realize the tremendous demands the unions place on oil companies here? The price for that (and legacy costs) are factored into our gas prices.
Think twice when you hear a politician say he wants the Employee Free Choice Act = this act guarantees that a person HAS NO choice.
Just one factor in all those involved in gas prices.

And the prices for a barrel of crude oil keep going up. We already know this but we must help keep the DOE personnel's jobs.

If you drive by Cushing on the Interstate, you won't see much. You have to get down into the bowels of town to see the tank farm. But it's still the place for oil if you're buying in quantity...

Numbers, numbers, numbers. It's the Feds policies of zero rates & printing money. This Administration's $Trillions of borrowing & spending, causing the very weak $US vs the Euro. Crude remains priced in $US & crude continues to climb.

Things eventually will change for the consumer when government gets the balls to regulate the market speculation causing such huge price changes.

Pump prices skyrocketed in the last week in part to the very minor reduction in inventory. Ya think they'll drop the same amount now that we're again seeing an increase in inventory? Me neither...

The economy is still very tough for the consumers. The retailers may not have a good holiday season.

yep, this is the new rules of economics:
big supplies = higher cost fewer oil rigs online = higher cost lower supplies = higher cost more oil rigs online = higher cost (fill in the blank) = higher costs.
