(Reuters) - U.S. House Speaker John Boehner will make a new attempt to force approval of the stalled Keystone XL oil pipeline as part of legislation for another 90-day extension of federal road, bridge and transit construction funding, Republican aides said on Friday.

By seeking a second short-term funding extension, the plan aims to put the Canada-to-Texas pipeline and expanded drilling rights back at the top of the House agenda without the struggles that the House has endured in trying to pass a longer-term, more expensive transport bill.

A House vote could come as early as next week.

Boehner has made the Keystone pipeline, designed to carry crude from the northern Alberta oil sands, and the transportation funding bill centerpieces of his jobs agenda.

But he could not win the support

For T42 and the other "BIG OIL AND GAS LOVES US" chanting haters I suggest that your phrase is actually quite true!

Whilst vilifying an industry folks tend to overlook many, many things. In this case probably one of the biggest things, human life. I'll bet T42 and all the other haters never gave a thought to themselves or someone they love more than likely owes their very life to Big Oil.

How can this be, they'll ask???

And the answer is so simple, looking them right in the eye, but still unnoticed.

How can this be??? And how can some folks be so narrow minded as to not realize this?

So next time you hear T42 and others sarcatiscally chant, "BIG OIL AND GAS LOVES US", remember that even though they don't mean it they are absolutely correct!

The Keystone pipeline will be built regardless of the politics. Waiving regulations to get it built isn't necessary.

No reason that it shouldn't be built.

Don't forget the 'big greed' of the government. Remember at least half of your cost at the pump consists of taxes, fees, regulatory items.

Can't pile on big oil for that. That is big government.

too bad they won't spend this much time working on making things better for country instead of just their oil company buddies and their kickbacks.
