will this affect engine duration because i know there is water in the ethynol?

Not really, as with ethanol water will remain in suspension and pass right through the system. Water can and does get into fuel supplies. Only a small amount of water will seperate out from gasoline. In time this can and does cause fuel line freeze up during the winter months.

I used to add heet to my winter fuels to eliminate freeze up. Now since I use nothing by ethanol fuels I do not worry about it.
