Is there a way to have old or incorrect gas stations removed from the database? I have 2 recent examples of why this is needed.

1) Local convenience store recently stopped selling gas and had pumps removed. That's the simple one.

2) One gas station is being reported at 2 nearby intersections. One address is correct, the other is completely bogus. This is no gas station of any brand at reported intersection. The problem is people keep reporting the same prices for both locations. This is okay except when the bogus address prices are days out of date as often happens and sometimes appear to be much lower than reality. This screws up local searches when sorting by lowest price.

Go to the MSL as advised by Michael29644 and I_Do_Dew. I have done this and it's easy to make the correction. The actual deletion of a duplicate isn't effected immediately though, but it will show up on the list as a "duplicate".

As I started this reply, I got more and more worked up about it. I finally had to start a new topic altogether. Go read it. Pick up pitch forks and torches.

The other way to get to the MSL is to click on the station from the map. there is a link for "Edit Station Info" just below the address. If you go in though the map, it just about assures that you are editing the entry for the station you want.

You have enough points to edit your Master Station List (MSL) yourself. To access the MSL, hover over Gas Prices, then click on Master Station List.

There you will be able to find and edit the stations in question.

>1) Local convenience store recently stopped selling gas and had pumps
>removed. That's the simple one.

This one should be changed to Closed - Permanently as the pumps have been removed.

>2) One gas station is being reported at 2 nearby intersections. One
>address is correct, the other is completely bogus.

The incorrect one should be changed to Delete - Duplicate.
