From what I understand the heat value of natural gas is less in eastern pa than in western pa. In western pa natural gas burns hotter from what I understand. The reason I ask this is eversince I have been an unwilling Columbia Gas customer we were billed in Cubic Feet. This is what is on the meter. Now Columbia Gas is billing in what they call therms. From what I understand the therm value in eastern pa is lower than in western pa. I would wonder if 2 liters of water would boil quicker because the therm value is hotter. Columbia Gas just makes it difficult to understand how they are billing people
