We have a topic called Daily Gripes ~ so I thought we could also post the positive things that happen in our lives :) This could be something that happened to you today, this week, whenever! Daily Gripes is a great way to vent (everybody needs too!) but it's also great to remember the positive things that happens in our lives! And remember:

"Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!!"

I'm virtually enjoying my trip with my cyberson. :)

Mom got a fair report from the doctors today, I think. We will know more in a day or two.

We found a wonderful (and affordable) hotel to spend two nights in Québec.

Addressed three cards of cheer to go out in tomorrows mail. It is nice to receive mail that isn't junk mail or a bill.

trugasCA - what a great price and wonderful thing to do!

As I reflect on the past day, I am so grateful for the team of doctors that work so hard to help cancer patients. Their support staff makes a big difference in the level of care you get too. I just appreciate all they have done for my Mom.

Had a wonderful day visiting my parents! Got there in time for church services and while we were at church, my better half picked up sticks in my parents yard. We took them out for lunch and then enjoyed spending some time visiting with them in their home.

A wonderful day to be with my parents.

Friends. That's my positive. Here and online. Smile.
Scrap, that would break my heart losing 60c per gallon. Same feeling as losing a $20 bill to me.

Super scrap...30c is a savings. Most l see is .20c and the stations that participate are higher than others in the area, so if you used it you would only bring the price down to save 6c a gallon.
Yesterday responding to a $4 rebate at Sears, l walked all around and couldn't find anything so took a pair of $15.98 slippers to cashier and she took all th e Shop your way info and come to find out ..l got them free and still have $8 in my rewards.

Saved 30 cents off per gallon of gas with a coupon I got at KMart, maximum of 20 gallons. We took both vehicles. Saved $6. Every penny counts.

I am so blessed with how things are improving here.

Had a good talk with my Mom last evening.

Having cancer is hard. Surviving Pancreatic Cancer is a challenge. My Mom inspires me and has more courage in her little finger than I do in my whole body.

Love you Mom.

Wamster - that is so wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

I finished yet another book. I'm enjoying the time away from TV now that all my favorite shows are on break and getting a lot of reading done.

My friend of 36 years got her remaining teeth pulled, and received her new teeth/partials on Thursday. What a lovely after Mothers' Day present!

It's so wonderful to think of her smiling instead of her covering her mouth because she only had a few bottom teeth, and only 4 uppers remaining in the back of her mouth. I could hear the joy in her voice when she called me. I've been able to understand her speaking because I've known her for so long; but now everyone can understand her. :)

For those of you that don't know, or remember, I secretly paid for her dental work after I found out what dentist she was going to. I worked out a deal with them to tell my friend a local family in town helps low income people with their dental care. I didn't want her to feel obligated to me, and I knew she was too proud to accept my assistance, since she already owes me some money for a vehicle I helped her purchase.
------------------------------------------------------
I've been blessed to finally have found a job close by to help me with my expenses, after being unemployed for two years. So what if I have to work an extra 2 or 3 years to help my friend.

Finished another book today. I'm reading books by Debbie Macomber and just finished "A Good Yarn" which is the second of the Blossom Street series of books.

I haven't read fiction for a long time, just non-fiction. I'm enjoying these books and look forward to Debbie Macomber's Cedar Grove series being featured on Hallmark TV starting in July.

I'm so thankful that the book I ordered for my Mom for Mother's Day arrived at her home Saturday. She loved it! She got it this morning and was already on page 180 when I talked to her this afternoon.

Love my Mom (and Dad) and am so lucky to have them in my life.
