Once when I was supervisor at a company at the end of the day I came out to find my new van keyed. Then on same day, my son who also worked there had his truck keyed & my husband's who happened to be there had his tired punctured. We had thousands of dollars of damage to our vehicles & could never prove who did it (Police investigated) but it was all repaired except for the little blue truck which our son gave to us & we still have.

Yes, once, in my own front yard, had an ex-friend(unproven, but, fairly certain on my part) use a coat hanger to rip apart my weatherstripping and steal 20 cassettes and a radar detector back in 1986.

I once made a mistake and left some clothing visible in the back seat of my car when staying overnight at a friend's apartment. The next morning the back window was smashed in and the clothing was gone. Nothing else was taken, though.

Car in the driveway and probably the only time I forgot to lock it. Came out about 5:00AM to get the newspaper and noticed the interior light was on. Discovered the driver side door wasn't completely closed. Cell phone in a drawer under the passenger seat was gone, though an extra battery and charger was still there. Also found that some of the plastic around the ignition lock was broken off as if a pry was being used. I suspect that this was in progress and may have surprised them when I flipped on the hallway light before going outside.

Last time I had a car broken into - all they stole was the CB radio (shows just how long ago that was) - didn't even take the mounting bracket ... idiots

Cupla times. Not much dollarwise. The most annoying one was the car vandalized in my garage.

Some dimwit politician stuck his gaudy election stickers on the bumper of my classic Mustang while it was parked. Couldn't believe it. I peeled them right off. He didn't even ask, just figured I'd like them.

Might as well paint a mustache on the MOna Lisa...

When I lived in Chicago we had a nice neighborhood with 27 homes. I was ready to take my two children and wife on a vacation to Virginia (we lived their before moving to Chicago). My three month old Dodge Ram Van was hitched to a Jayco pop-up RV in the driveway. I placed a TV/VCR on the floor at 12:30 AM so the kids could watch movies on the long trip. I was to depart at 4:00 AM. In just 3 1/2 hours someone smashed the driver's side vent window (remember them?) and stole the television without the remote control. I had to place cardboard where the window was and drive the entire distance in pouring rain. The window was replaced in Virginia at a cost of $836.00. Much of the damage was caused by the glass shop putting in the wrong vent window. When we returned to Chicago, I found that six of my neighbors vehicles were vandalized, each in a different way. Some by a "Slim Jim", some by the use of a dent puller in the door lock cylinder, and some to unlocked vehicles. The police said it was a pro job conducted by a group of individuals. My vehicle's driver door had to be repainted, restripped, the wiring harness to the locks/windows replaced and the Infinity Sound System speaker. As stated, some damage was caused by the glass shop, but not the window or the door damage.

Some kids in my neighborhood drew a penis and balls on the hood of my car with mustard. I took it to the car wash and it didn't leave any residual marks, thankfully.

Had someone slash two of my tires in front of my fiancée's house about two months ago.

I also remember back in 2004 I put a pro-Bush bumper sticker on my car, and found it torn up the next morning. I replaced it with a new one and they didn't mess with it again.
