In the Tillicum neighborhood, just outside of Madigan gate of JBLM is a Chevron gas station that consistently charges a minimum of $0.10 to $0.15 more per gallon than any other gas station around. I have lived in this neighborhood for 3 years now, and have witnessed that this station always has the highest prices in the area. Do not shop here, if the owner gets a clue perhaps he will start charging more reasonable prices.

Clearly people shouldn't be shopping there... but they do, otherwise the station would be out of business.

Probably the station makes more money on side businesses than gas... repair shop, food sales, etc.

Each to his own...

If you want lower prices, check GasBuddy before you go home or download the FREE APP and check them out (and report them) while on the GO!

Happy travels!

There is a station here locally that was charging $3.79 when stations a half mile either direction were charging $3.19. That's the power of Gas Buddy, to help you find lower priced alternatives.

Personally I have no idea where Lakewood, Washington is, let alone what or where the Tillicum neighborhod is, nor, for that matter What Madigan gate or JBLM are.

Wouldn't this make a little more sense to post in the local discussion category than in the national category? I may be wrong but I'm pretty confident that most people who read the national category, across the United States and Canada, are already pretty much avoiding shopping at one particular gas station.

I always use GasBuddy to shop around and get the best price at my choices of stations. I pass a Chevron every day that is consistently 5-10 cents higher than another Chevron not two blocks away. It amazes me how many people don't pay attention to this fact.

Welcome to GasBuddy. It is great to see you participating in the forums here. The information in this topic is really better suited for the local Discussion thread because of the local nature of the information. Most members throughout the US and Canada will never make it to Tacoma.
Looks like you have been updating gas prices which provides valuable information that you and other members can use to find lower priced gas. Thanks for that and keep it up.
