I use Holiday frequently and have not experienced any mileage reduction.

I know that the mileage in the vehicle I primarily drive had improved 2-3 mpg when using Holiday gas lately.
There are so many variables that could be involved with your statement. Are you driving the same way you were? Same highway/in-town/rush hour driving? Driving the same speed? Taking off from stop signs/stop lights the same way? Not gunning it to get around someone?
Like DI said, different cars are going to get different results from the same gas. I think overall you could be in the minority with Holiday gas, but there's no real way of knowing that at the moment.

Based on my 2008 fuel logbook, my median MPG was 3.8% better from Holiday (24.47) than from Costco (23.54). This is for a 2006 Honda CR-V.
These were the only two brands with a decent sample size, although my three fills at Exxon were similar to Costco.

I guess I'd be a bit leery of someone who works at FHR and claims that Holiday gasoline doesn't have any additives in it. _All_ gasoline sold in the USA must meet the EPA's Final Rule Lowest Additive Concentration (LAC) requirement. Is your friend really claiming that FHR is violating Federal law?
For the record, Holiday claims:
"Holiday gasolines contain Excell Plus, an additive specially formulated to keep your car engine running clean. We know how important detergent additives are for cleaning your entire intake system and minimizing harmful deposits to help your car stay in top operating condition."
Gasoline additives are designed to do a number of different things — better mileage being only one. I personally believe that different engines respond differently to different gasolines. I think the opinions expressed by T$ and RoadRebel support that view.

I have the opposite experience. I get better mileage from Holiday gas than the independent station at the end of my street. I always fill up at Holiday now also because of their competitor coupons policy.
I don't know much about additives, but I know they have labeled their gas Blue Planet and it seems to have that cleaning stuff in it.
