Loremo AG is a German automaker corporation, based in Marl. It was founded in 2000.[1] Loremo is focused on designing prototypes of cars with very low weight and air resistance, the term "Loremo" is an abbreviation for "Low Resistance Mobile".[2] Initially the car was conceived for emerging markets such as China and India. The project should be considered currently inactive. No plans to restart development are currently known.

Hear! Hear! MaryKayByBJ. Well said.

The Loremo is a neat, stylish little car that comes with a few changes that we may be challenged to accept.

It is supposed to be available in the European market sometime this year. Unfortunately, I do not read German so I can't tell when it might be redesigned to meet US Safety standards. /
I also wonder how the use of ULS Diesel used in USA & Canada might reduce the mpg. (As far as I know, the EU still uses LS Diesel.)
Keep in mind that this car is 2 adults in front and ONLY children in rear-facing back seats. It DOES have a nice shell similar to Smart which provides MUCH better passenger protection in a crash than most other smaller cars.

from the linky: "and other excess fat such as side-opening doors, the Loremo puffs out a mere 50 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer."

A) how do I get in and out? it seems impractical (i.e. a pain in the tail) from the picture of the car if you dont get in the sides.

B) who gives a rat's behind about CO2? I thought we dispensed with that crap with the climategate scandal... amirite?
